When the AC stops working in May or you need a reliable tutor before board exams, you want someone good, close by and quick to respond. IndiaYP is built to make that search short. Here is how to use it well.
Start with where you are
Every business on IndiaYP belongs to a state or union territory, a city and a locality. You can start at any level:
- State pages, such as Maharashtra or Karnataka, list every city in the state with the number of businesses in each.
- City pages, such as Mumbai or Bengaluru, list the city's localities, each with its own business count, plus all businesses in the city.
- Locality pages, such as Andheri in Mumbai or Indiranagar in Bengaluru, show the businesses in that neighbourhood.
If you know your area, open your city from Cities in the menu and choose your locality from the list.
Or start with what you need
Open Categories and choose a main category such as Home Services or Health & Medical. Each main category lists its sub-categories, for example Repairs & Maintenance or AC & Appliances in Home Services, with the specialised categories inside them such as Plumbers, Electricians and AC Repair & Service. Open the one you need, then narrow the results by state and locality.
You can also type what you need into the search box on the home page and choose your state.
How to choose between businesses
- Look for the verified badge. It means the business has proved it is genuine with documents such as a GSTIN or Udyam certificate.
- Read the reviews, especially the most recent ones.
- Check the details: working hours, address, and whether the business serves your area.
- Compare two or three options before you decide.
Ask several businesses at once
On category pages you can request a quote: describe what you need once, and it is sent to up to five matching businesses, who reply to you directly. It is the quickest way to compare prices for jobs such as home renovation, house shifting or wedding catering.
Contact the business
Every listing has a call button and, where the business uses it, WhatsApp. Numbers are shown in the +91 format, so they work from any phone, in India or abroad.
Help others
After the job is done, leave a short, honest review. It helps your neighbours choose, and it helps good businesses grow.
