Customers are more likely to call a business they trust. The IndiaYP verified badge is a simple signal that a business is genuine and that its listing is managed by the right people. This article explains which documents you can use and how to get approved quickly.

Documents you can use

You only need one document that matches your business name. The more official it is, the faster the check.

  • GST registration certificate (GSTIN). Issued to businesses registered under GST. Most businesses can download it from the GST portal.
  • Udyam (MSME) registration certificate. For micro, small and medium enterprises registered on the Udyam portal.
  • Shop & Establishment licence. Issued under your state's Shops and Establishments rules, usually by the state labour department or the local municipal body.
  • MCA certificate of incorporation. For private limited companies, one person companies, public companies and LLPs registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
  • Municipal trade licence. Issued by your city's municipal corporation or local body.
  • FSSAI licence or registration. For restaurants, sweet shops, caterers, tiffin services and food producers.
  • Professional registration. For example ICAI membership for chartered accountants, a Bar Council enrolment for advocates, or NMC or state medical council registration for doctors.

Tips for a quick approval

  • Match the names. The name on the document should match the name on your listing. If they differ (for example a brand name versus the registered legal name), mention both in your listing description.
  • Upload a clear copy. A sharp photo or PDF of the whole document, with no parts cut off.
  • Confirm your phone number from the dashboard. It is part of verification.
  • Keep it current. Expired licences can't be used.

What happens to your documents

Documents are used only to verify your business and are never shown on your public listing. You can see the status of each document in My verification in your dashboard.

Is verification required?

No. Listing on IndiaYP is free and does not require verification. But the badge helps customers choose you over unverified competitors, and on state pages customers can filter to show verified businesses only.

Already registered elsewhere?

Even if you hold a GSTIN or Udyam registration, customers can't see that unless you show it. The badge does that for you in one glance.
